UNIVERSAL CREDIT Customer Service

Universal Credit is a service that helps make sure that claimants are happier in work than they are on benefits. People with low income or those who do not have work can benefit from this service. It helps people prepare for work, move into job and make more money. Universal Credit is a welfare benefit that was founded in 2013 in order to replace 6 means-tested benefits and tax credits including: Jobseeker’s Allowance, Housing Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Employment and Support Allowance and Income Support. Payments for Universal Credit will be made on a monthly basis directly into a bank or building society account. Any help with rent will be included with the payment and the claimants then pay their landlord on their own.
